For five years, Colin excelled as the Director of Social Work and Admissions at two different Sub Acute Rehab/Long Term Skilled Care Facilities. Alongside her full-time role, she also contributed as a per diem social worker for several Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHA aka Visiting Nurses) and the long-term Lombardi program (LTHHCP).
In 1996, Colin transitioned from her role in long-term care facilities to focus on raising her two children, continuing to work as a per diem home care social worker during this period.
Drawing on her extensive experience in sub-acute and long-term care, Colin developed a deep expertise in Medicaid eligibility in New York State. Recognizing the need for a service that combined knowledge of the Medicaid system with access to community resources, Colin envisioned a compassionate, patient-centered approach to helping families and caregivers.
In 2010, Colin founded Medicaid Solutions with the mission of assisting families in navigating Medicaid and securing the best possible services to meet their long-term care needs. What began as a sole practitioner venture has since flourished. Today, Medicaid Solutions boasts a dedicated team of five professionals and continues to expand, providing essential support to the community.
